Half Alive

All my life as an artist I have asked myself: What pushes me continually to make sculpture? I have found the answer. Art is an action against death. It is a denial of death.

Are you half alive? Or half dead? Just how full, or empty, is that glass? Not that I was pondering Life and Death whilst making this. I was accumulating images on the page which became interconnected in what you might call an 'ambiguous' fashion...perhaps because I am ambiguous about so many things. Is this about greed? Capitalism? War? Control? The 'free' market? I leave space for interpretation...in the spaces there are answers of your own making...
